Everybody is busy these days, and generally should we decide to learn a new profession, getting educated at the same time as holding down a job is the only option open to us. Training tracks certified by Microsoft can fill that gap. You might like to find a training advisor, who can give you some ideas on whereabouts in industry would be best, and the kind of tasks that are a good match for someone with your personality. When you’ve settled on the career path you want, a suitable training program needs to be singled out that’s goes with your ability level and skill set. The perhaps intimidating chore of finding your first IT job is often eased by some training providers because they offer a Job Placement Assistance service. Because of the massive skills shortage in this country at the moment, there isn’t a great need to get too caught up in this feature though. However, what is relevant is to have help and assistance with preparing a CV and getting interviews though; also we would encourage any student to get their CV updated the day they start training – don’t delay till you’ve finished your exams. Getting your CV considered is better than being rejected. Often junior positions are given to people (who’ve only just left first base.) You can usually expect better performance from a specialist locally based employment agency than you’ll get from a training company’s national service, because they will understand the local industry and employment needs.

To bottom line it, as long as you focus the same level of energy into finding your first IT position as into studying, you’re not going to hit many challenges. A number of people inexplicably put hundreds of hours into their training course and do nothing more once certified and would appear to think that businesses will just discover them.

Any program that you’re going to undertake should always lead to a properly recognised accreditation at the end – and not some unimportant ‘in-house’ printed certificate to hang in your hallway. All the major IT organisations like Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA or Adobe have internationally approved proficiency programs. These heavyweights will make your CV stand-out.

Make sure you don’t get caught-up, as many people do, on the certification itself. Training is not an end in itself; this is about employment. Stay focused on what it is you want to achieve. It’s common, for instance, to obtain tremendous satisfaction from a year of studying and then spend 20 miserable years in a job you hate, simply because you did it without some quality research when it was needed – at the start.

Stay focused on what it is you’re trying to achieve, and build your study action-plan from that – don’t do it the other way round. Stay on target and begin studying for a job you’ll still be enjoying many years from now. Your likely to need help from someone that knows the commercial realities of the sector you’re considering, and who can offer ‘A day in the life of’ synopsis for that career-path. These things are incredibly important as you’ll need to fully understand if this change is right for you.

It’s essential to have accredited simulation materials and an exam preparation system as part of your course package. Due to the fact that many IT examination boards tend to be American, you’ll need to be used to the correct phraseology. It’s no use merely answering any old technical questions – it’s essential that you can cope with them in the proper exam format. Ensure that you ask for exam preparation tools so you’ll be able to verify your comprehension along the way. Simulated or practice exams add to your knowledge bank – so you won’t be quite so nervous at the actual exam.

Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 is the latest version of the leading web development and site management application originally owned by Macromedia. Dreamweaver is the ideal tool for web designers, coders, and application developers of all levels. Web professionals of every level of experience will find a workspace arrangement to fit their style, or they can create one of their own. The Dreamweaver interface has been updated to fall in line with look and overall functionality of the rest of the Adobe Creative Suite 4 programs. The user interface of Dreamweaver CS4 is both highly efficient and aesthetically pleasing.

Dreamweaver is as useful for build basic sites using web technologies like XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript as well as more complex sites incorporating server-side technologies such as ASP.Net, Coldfulsion and PHP. It also allows you to create web pages driven by a database as well as admin pages for updating and deleting database records, log in pages and server behaviours for restricting access to certain areas of your site.

In addition, you will find that Dreamweaver is not one of those web development environments which adds tons of proprietary code to the the pages you create. If you are an experienced web developer and have already web sites using other tools, Dreamweaver opens web pages and web sites that were created in other programs without modifying the code. Dreamweaver allows you to work in Code or Design view or to have a split screen where you can do both. Changes that you make in design view generate clean and standards-compliant code which you can modify in Code view as necessary.

The vast majority of web pages have external files linked to them such as CSS style sheets and JavaScript files. Dreamweaver CS4 makes working with such linked files much easier by giving you access to them from the Related Files toolbar.

Dreamweaver offers some wonderfully easy-to-use features for adding interactivity to your web pages. Dynamic effects like rollovers, pop-up windows and the showing and hiding of page content can be achieved without any programming. Dreamweaver automatically generates the necessary JavaScript for you. Similarly, Adobe’s Spry technology, based on CSS and JavaScript, provides easy access to complex, interactive functionality. Using Spry, you can easily create interactive, drop-down menus, advanced layout elements like tabbed panels and add sophisticated form validation to prevent visitors to your site from submitting forms inappropriate data.

Dreamweaver also incorporates an array of highly sophisticated site management tools. Unless you are mainly concerned with create email newsletters and similar promotional material, your web development will consist of creating and editing pages that work together to form part of a web site. You may also need to work on several such sites simultaneously. Dreamweaver’s site management tools make web site development easy to manage. It has tools for collaboration by a team of people working on the same sites, for synchronising local and live versions of a site, for checking links, and browser compatibility and, naturally it incorporates FTP client software.

I can remember it all too clearly..

Back in 1999, when I began my journey online there were only 5-10 ‘experts’ in Internet Marketing.

It was a wonderful place to live in, a safe environment where you could work and breathe without being poisoned with some hyped up product.

Fast forward and the industry, started to change. The ‘sharks’ smelt blood and entered our market place and started destroying the industry..

What happened?

Simple really…

Greed. Products upon products started to filter into the market place like a tidal wave – relentless and not caring about the damage it left in it’s wake…

People running up HUGE debts on credit cards, in some cases taking equity out of their homes just to become another victim of a vicious scam.

I monitored everything, my blood boiling every second of the day until it was too much.

That was when the ‘Guru Slayer’ was born – a guide created for an ordinary person to follow a step by step plan online.

Not hype, not fluff or any BS. Short, sharp, crisp and to the point. No high price tag, no hard selling…

I only hope it will help the market place return to the state we once had it in…
